An Italian baking course

Silvana de Soissons, 10th May, 2012

I will be running an Italian cake and biscuit baking course at my house in north Wiltshire on 15th September 2012. I will be showing a small group of no more than eight people how to make focaccia, Lombard bread rolls, Torta Caprese {Chocolate cake from the island of Capri}, Torta al Pistacchio {Pistachio nut cake}, Torta di Mele {Lombard apple cake} as well as Ricciarelli {Tuscan almond biscuits} and Le Maddalene {little raisin, lemon and Marsala breakfast cakes}. The day starts with teas and coffees and homemade juices, biscotti, toast and jams served in my kitchen. I will be serving a three course lunch with wines in between the demonstrations. At the end the cakes are all shared amongst the guests to take home as well as a recipe folder.
