Over 100 registered writers, 400 posts, 30 food photographers and some of the world’s best food and drink bloggers, editors, publishers and producers signed up to our Newsletter, The Foodie Bugle is only eight months old but making its way in cyberspace.
What is really encouraging and exciting is that many new food and drink writers and readers are finding us every single day. For the ninth edition I have interviewed award winning Telegraph food writer and author Diana Henry, nurseryman and plant guru Toby Buckland (whose enormous pumpkin and greenhouse in the walled garden of Powderham Castle in Devon is truly worth going to see), Rosalind Rathouse, the owner of The Cookery School and Rosalind’s Kitchen in London’s Fitzrovia and Duncan Glendinning and Patrick Ryan, the founders of The Thoughtful Bakery near Bath. Writers have sent in accounts of visits to hotels, restaurants, farm shops, cookery books, supper clubs, food growers, cheesemakers, fishmongers and beautiful artisanal homeware creators from all around the world.
Our Twitter following is growing by the day and every day my E-mail Inbox is filled by really talented food writers and photographers who want to contribute to our co-operative platform. The core of our approach has never changed: to showcase and celebrate all that is genuinely good in the artisanal food and drink industry, without advertising, celebrity chefs or passing fads.
Onwards and upwards to the next edition. As the seasons evolve, so does our content. Thank-you for joining us.
